Downtown Charlottesville has several antique stores. Whether you enjoy the fine French antiques of
Rosewood, located just around the corner on 2nd St. SE, the eclectic design pieces of
Consignment House, located on the downtown mall, or the antique Chinese furniture and art of
Oyster House, also located on the downtown mall, there is something to suit all tastes.
Movie Theaters
* The Regal Downtown six-plex cinema is on The Downtown Mall.
Located two blocks from the Inn, it shows first-run movies.

* Vinegar Hill Theater is four blocks from the Inn. It shows foreign and independent films.
* There are many more theaters within easy driving distance. (By the way, Charlottesville has more movie screens per capita than any city in the U.S.) For more information on movie times around town visit

The Downtown Mall
Charlottesville's Main Street is now a thriving pedestrian mall. The brick paved mall and the adjacent blocks are lined with specialty shops and restaurants. And amphitheater at one end is the home of many concerts including Fridays After Five, a very popular series with varied music. It runs from May to October.
